Cut Your Losses
Welp. Nobody communicate with me for the next 2-4 business days. I am currently going through a rough patch where absolutely NOTHING is going my way. I spent my night at a urgent care / a 24 hour CVS. I am fine. They diagnosed me with being dramatic. But this whole conundrum has resulted in me having to cancel a trip to Costa Rica for my friends’ wedding which I am so upset about. So, as I sit here with my throat as red as the popsicle flavor Jake Shane hopes for, I have decided it would be best to type instead of talk.
I would like to take the time to discuss my simple pleasures in life so I can turn this frown upside down:
Fiji water bottle with a sport cap
Clean sheets (every 4-5 days)
Matching pajama sets
An outfit looking as good as you imagined in your head
2nd day curled hair
Mini ice cream cones as a sweet treat
Hermes lip balm
A perfectly Swiffered floor
Lying to people at bars
Lying to people about my Zodiac sign and them saying “omg that’s exactly you”
When everyone in the group chat “haha’s” your text
Sounds like Alix Earle is working on her own line of something
Lamar Odom and Caitlyn Jenner are starting a sports podcast together. It will be called “Keeping up with Sports.” Seems like a cursed duo.
Dries Van Noten steps down as Creative Director. This one stung a little bit.
After months of taking my passport to the bars, I finally was able to get license replaced. The DMV refused to believe I didn’t wear glasses and would not replace my I.D. for about 5 months.
Pheobe Philo did her first interview in a decade with the NYT
I created my first March Madness bracket this year. I am feeling hopeful and also confused.
Things I Swiped My Card On
Got some swimwear as I obviously was supposed to be on vacation but will save for my next trip. I like to slowly decorate my home so I purchased some pieces for my couch. When I get designer items, sometimes I love something thats a little ironic. It feels less flashy to me. I wore the Celine boxers out to the clubs this weekend and it was very comfy 10/10. Lastly, I have been searching for a white bag for the last year and have always loved the silhouette of The Row 90’s Bag so I purchased it at The Webster last week. She has been sitting at my desk because I like to stare at her.
Keeping It RealReal
I love to shop on The RealReal. Personally, I find pieces that are a little bit more unique that nobody else is going to have and I love a good deal. I also like to dress brand agnostic and care more about the style of the piece and find something really special that I love. I live for the hunt on The RealReal. My one tip: tailor everything. Here are some curated pieces that I have saved right now.
